In the last two days I had two clients coming in for a session. both of them paid via pay pal and I was able to see their payment on my paypal account. However as soon as I was giving them the service they both cancel the payments and were able to get away with it so I want all of you to know that when you see a payment done for you on pay pal it is not really true and you better wait until you see it authorized or else you can end up giving free session here for ever.. |

Thanks for notifying us of this scam. Since PayPal guarantees refunds, there may be no way around this, but I hope BitWine will think of something, for example, us being able to flag clients who are making the rounds with this scam? |

Just to inform everyone: paypal claims that they don’t have to insure payments without shipping address – meaning if there was nothing sent – so online session I suggest to give only after getting money in advance as the client may as well not pay for them if they don’t like to and there is not much bitwine can do about that currently unless they make the client register their credit cards in advance for paid session . |

Wish I had seen this sooner. My VERY FIRST Bitwine client pulled this scam on me. Doesn’t make me feel like staying or continuing to advertise my association with this site. Sigh |

All - There is no scam! When you hit “start charging” you have to wait until you see a confirmation on your chat console that charging has begun. If it does not say it, do not provide service (regardless what you may see on your payapl account). You will also see the $$$ meter start running and the status will change to “charging”. Again – if you don’t see it, don’t provide service. The reason for the confusion is that when we request payment from the client, an authorization order is being recorded at Paypal. People may look into their PayPal account and confuse this with a final payment. Regards, EB |

I am sorry but that is not so true. I was hit twice every one should know that these client can and was visiting this site to another expert and pulled the same trick on her too. the name by the way is “Asleigh” she visited liveperson as well to hit like that but I could not rate her as I was not given that option when the dialog end. then there was Zachary (watch it every one he will try to get free read as well) and he lived horrible rate without paying after he came to me second time and I told him I know he is lying and not going to pay – paypal on their side never answered me about it but saying that “without shipping adress the payments are not insured ” – what shipping address they look for no one knows and so I do not provide online but ask for payment in advance until I be sure that I am covered and so I lose the online meter option . not so great …. |

Yep, just got nailed by this same person TWICE. She says ‘ok I can hire now’, and when I hit ‘start charging’, she cancels it. Lo and behold, 10 bucks in paypal cancelled. TWICE. my bad for letting it happen the second time but yeah she knows what she’s doing. |

When i first started, my first client came in chat, asked me questions, I started to give connection, she hired, i saw the transaction being made. then she cancelled. I sent her an e-mail telling her how naughty that was. Very disrespectrul. For this reason, it’s why I dont have trust in the payment system and therefore, I don’t bother much with the site. Sorry I repeat myself, but seems like people are still confused about this: When your console says “NOT CHARGING” then it’s not charging. You will not get paid. Do not provide service until you see it changes to “CHARGING”. No matter what you see on your PayPal account. Think about it this way. When you give a person a quote or invoice, it does not mean that person will actually take it and pay. What you see on your PayPal account is just your quote. If the client does not agree to pay it, the system will cancel the quote. As for this specific client, make sure you BLOCK her (click the “Block User” link on your chat console). If the client gets blocked by enough advisors then the system totally blocks that user (so she cannot contact anyone anymore). |
